The time between visits to our favorite towns
Swansboro, NC
We splashed and hung out on the dock for a few days at Bock Marine and untied the lines on Dec 6. We kept our first few days short so we could ease back into the cruising life. We stopped for a night in Beaufort, hit Caspers Marina in Swansboro (should be called Ducksboro due to the cute town ducks wandering everywhere) for gas and water, and to go back and have dinner at The Boro. The town looks fantastic and magical all dressed up for the holidays!

We left Caspers with one of our best dock leavings ever. We had help from another cruising couple, but basically, they just untied the lines and held them and the current pushed us safely off the dock. We didn’t even take out one of the pedestals this time (Palm Cove Marina 2020)! Anchored at Figure Eight Island Bridge and made our way to Carolina Beach Mooring field. We have been here since the ninth and we think our weather window looks good for a straight, 24+ hour, outside run to Georgetown on 12.13.22. We can’t wait to get there!
